Effective altruism is a research field and social movement which uses high-quality evidence and careful reasoning to find out how to help others as effectively as possible. It is also a community of people taking these answers seriously, by focusing their efforts on the most promising solutions to the world's most pressing problems.
Effective Altruism SU arrange events for learning about and discussing issues such as extreme poverty, risks from emerging technology and animal suffering, as well as the most effective solutions for solving them.
