The Conservative and Liberal Party

The Conservative and Liberal Party is the student union's only liberal party. We believe in a student union that is close to students' everyday life and focuses on concrete problems instead of unnecessary symbolic politics.

ELECTION ISSUES

  1. Lower membership fee in the student union

We want to lower the membership fee for the student union. It is possible to make the work of the student union more efficient, that is also our obligation. Membership in the student union should not be a financial question but a matter of course for all students. The threshold for membership and commitment must be lowered so that more people can join, and so that our members can have more money in their pockets.

  2.  More digital course literature

We also want to see more accessible course literature. Students are a financially vulnerable group, therefore it would be reasonable for the literature on basic courses to be digitized. It is a necessary measure to support students' financial situation. Furthermore, it is about time that the university increases its degree of digitization. This is one of the many political issues we pursue. We also want to see an end to the January exams, so that students can experience Christmas in peace.

  3. Abolish the political union elections

Fundamentally, we think that the union election structure today is unreasonable. The student union should not be party political, but general. It is problematic that party lines today put obstacles in the way of cooperation between competent students with different political backgrounds. It is also a problem that students without a background in politics have worse opportunities to get involved than those of us who do. The party structure that exists today in the student union creates conditions for political parties. As long as it remains, we will stand up as an alternative for liberal and conservative students where the most competent candidates are promoted, regardless of political background.
